Castle Acre

Castle Acre is a pretty little village with the ruins of a Cluniac Priory and a Norman Castle. It is located a few miles from Swaffham on the ancient Peddars Way, and has a Roman trackway to the North of Norfolk which until recently remained an important route to the North Norfolk coast.

How to get to Castle Acre from West Rudham

Head eastwards on the A148 towards Fakenham. Turn right at Station Road and continue for about 2 miles before turing left onto Low Street. Turn Right onto the A1065 and continue for about 7 miles before turning right onto Newton Road, Continue to Castle Acre.
